Huron First United Methodist Church
Kids @ First
Welcome to Huron First Kids Ministry! Kids are a huge part of our ministry. We invest in our kids in a loving, caring, intentional way that allows them to experience Jesus through age-appropriate activities, Bible lessons, games & songs. We want to nurture them into a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.
"Our mission for Christian Education is to provide a spiritual setting where children, youth & adults can form a relationship with Jesus Christ. A program grounded in scripture and prayer that provides fun with a purpose and equips individuals to impact the world for Christ."

Safety is a Priority: At Huron First UMC, we use a computerized check-in system for all ages.
Specific to our youngest (birth thru 3rd grade) we use the system to identify each child with personal id number. At check in, you will be given a printed name tag for your child and a printed pick up tag. Each with your child’s unique code on it. This code will change each time your child checks into the system. Place the name tag on your child and escort them to class. Keep the pick-up tag for yourself and bring it with you to pick your child up following class. If you do not have your tag, you will need to print another one before picking your child up.
In addition to the personal id codes, we also lock the doors to the section of classrooms for this particular age group (birth thru 3rd grade). This is done 5 minutes after the start of each program as an added security measure. Don’t worry, if you arrive late or need to get to your child during this time, a staff member will be happy to assist you. The doors are unlocked at the end of class so you may pick your child up directly from their classroom.
Grades 3rd thru HS may choose to check in at the computers or they may go directly to class to be checked in by their teachers.
